Meet Kaleel Sakakeeny: Compassionate Pet Loss Counselor
Kaleel Sakakeeny is one of the few ordained Animal Chaplains and credentialed Pet Loss and Bereavement Counselors in the United States. He is also a Credentialed Advanced Grief Counselor, and an ordained nondenominational pastor. In addition to his BA, MA, and MS degrees, he is certified in Reiki, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and Animal Communication, all of which deepen his ability to support both people and animals through their grief.

An Expert in Grief Counseling
As a specialist in grief and sorrow counseling for those mourning the loss of a pet, (or any other major loss like the loss of a relationship, job, home), Kaleel offers a compassionate approach to healing during this difficult time. Whether in individual sessions or group settings, his goal is to provide comfort and understanding.

Active in the Community
Kaleel is passionate about working with small groups through workshops, schools, community centers, and churches. He explores the profound bond between humans and animals, addressing questions about love, loss, and connection with our animal companions, helping people find meaning and solace.

“Each animal that connects to us leaves fragments of their heart and soul with us. It is always an honour and I hope they knew my heart and soul was shared with them too.”
